Plot Summary[]

The story is dated in 1690-1730, a time known as the Golden Age of Piracy. Anne Bonny and her lover, Calico Jack Rackham acquired a rare map during a tavern brawl that they shared with William and Mary Read, a pirate team whose main love is the rarest of treasures. Although the map warned that the entire island is alive, they headed to a deserted island. There they realised that the island is crawling with plants that eat people, unlimited supply of feral cats and land masses that has a mind of its own.

Meanwhile, their ship that was anchored far from the island is attacked by Black Beard. Like any pirate, they are out to claim what the others came for. Jack Calico with his crew proceed to counter attack Blackbeard forces. Meanwhile, Blackbeard himself goes to the island, planning to kill Bonny.

Back at the heart of the island, Anne and her team find a mound of bones and treasures close to a waterfall. On top of it is the Witchblade, emanating a light that seems to be the force behind why the jungle is so alive and so dangerous.

Annie's crew mates set out to retrieve the gauntlet. As one of the men try to put it on, the Witchblade immediately blows of his hand. Meanwhile his companion is attacked by two panthers. This distracts the team, enough that Blackbeard is able to attack Annie by surprise. While William and Mary are captured, Annie jumps towards the Witchblade and takes it. She accepts the call of the Witchblade who tells her, that it controls every living and non-living entity on the island.

At the shore of the beach, William and Mary are about to be executed by Blackbeard's crew when Annie jumps out of the jungle and traps the pirates in the cage made out of earth. One of the crew recognizes the Witchblade, calling it the Blade of Fire. The Blackbeard and his crew are then ripped apart by a pack of tigers.

Anne then left the island with William and Mary, knowing too well that they lost most of their people, but with this new weapon in her hand, things will get interesting for all of them.
